THANK YOU, BULLETT, for this spread and feature of Kendrick Lamar (a.k.a. Benz-is-to-me-just-a-car)! You see, even though we've been bumping good kid, m.A.A.d city for almost a full year now, we're still beside ourselves with excitement when dude shows up in a fashion editorial. He's widely regarded as one of the most talented lyricists in the game right now, a shining light for the future of hip-hop, but what isn't as heavily chattered about is Kendrick's love and connection to style. Thankfully, BULLETT's been paying attention and swaddles him here in a Balenciaga shirt, Alexander Wang shorts AND boxing gloves (because, duh), a Lynn Ban earring, and a massive gold Versace heavyweight championship belt.

Among a host of other outfits that speak to the Compton MC's personal steez, we especially love this all-over printed adidas x Jeremy Scott sweatshirt and pants set (plus Chrome Hearts jewelry and Nike kicks) because it reminds us of his IRL performance style. (Remember that Swamp Thing ensemble from Governors Ball earlier this year??) For the most part, Lamar's everyday look is pretty understated and as BULLETT's Ben Barna writes, "[h]is biggest material indulgence, he says, has been a $10,000 Rolex watch, and even that was a gift." He's not a flashy dude, but that doesn't mean he's not thinking about what each thing he buys or puts on his person ultimately says about him. (Go to here if you need more proof.) He thinks as deeply about his steelo as he does about his raps. And accordingly, BULLETT also got the guy to spit a little freestyle, specially crafted on the spot for the mag.
